THE DOCTOR (Colin Baker) has been exploring the universe for hundreds of years. He fights injustice. He defeats evil. He helps people. In this incarnation he is forthright, often abrasive and can be blunt to the point of rudeness in the face of great danger… (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS)

PERPUGILLIAM ‘PERI’ BROWN (Nicola Bryant) has been travelling with the Doctor for a while now. Their relationship can be fractious, but is generally light-hearted and friendly. A keen botanist, resourceful and compassionate, Peri also has an edgy side; a wry sense of humour that can infuriate her travelling companion… (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) Avan Taklu (Robert Jezek) is a shape-shifting Whifferdill who tends to spend his days in the guise of a penguin with a distinctly-British sounding soubriquet: 'FROBISHER'. Frobisher first encountered the Doctor when the crime lord Dogbolter offered him a bounty for the Time Lord’s head. However, rather than turn his quarry over to his villainous paymaster, Frobisher elected to join forces with him, and would go on to enjoy a number of adventures alongside his sixth and seventh incarnations. A computer expert from 20th century Earth – Pease Pottage, East Sussex, to be specific - MELANIE JANE BUSH (Bonnie Langford) is young, bright and enthusiastic. She enjoys her time with the Doctor and the adventures they have. They met for the first time from Mel’s point of view in 1989 – however, the Doctor had by this point seen his future and had already met Miss Bush! (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) GRANT MARKHAM met the Doctor in 2191, when the Time Lord called upon his computer programming skills to defeat a giant robot dinosaur that was terrorising New Earth. Grant joined the Doctor in the TARDIS at the end of that escapade, and would go on to enjoy at least one further adventure by his side, on his homeworld Agora, where he and the Doctor would put paid to the Cybermen’s plans to convert all life on the planet.

EVELYN SMYTHE (Maggie Stables) first encountered the Doctor when she was a history lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. He took her on an adventure involving her ancestors in the 16th century, which led to Eveleyn joining the Doctor on his travels. Unbeknownst to him, Evelyn was resisting efforts by the university administration to retire her due to a possibly fatal heart condition, and so she took the opportunity to explore both history and the wider universe with relish… (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) London orphan THOMAS BREWSTER (John Pickard) survived the horrors of a Victorian workhouse, only to end up a ‘mudlark’ dragging salvage from the banks of the filthy Thames. When the Doctor and Nyssa helped free him from the clutches of entities using his dead mother’s image, Brewster repaid them by stealing the TARDIS! (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) BRIGADIER ALISTAIR GORDON LETHBRIDGE-STEWART (Nicholas Courtney) provided much-needed contrast to the third Doctor’s flamboyant excesses. Their relationship was not without tension, however, as the Brigadier often sought military solutions to alien incursions while the Doctor was working to ensure a peaceful outcome. They always retained a deep sense of mutual respect and friendship though; a friendship that would be rekindled on Lanyon Moor... (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) JASON (Noel Sullivan) first encountered the Doctor when the Time Lord rescued him from the guillotine during the French Revolution. Jason would go on to accompany the Doctor on the ultimate adventure, fighting both Daleks and Cybermen, and falling in love with a certain singer…

CRYSTAL (Claire Huckle) is a singer from the 1980s who was drawn into the Doctor’s world when her debut gig at the “Number Ten” nightclub in Clarendon Square was gatecrashed by a contingent of Cybermen. Crystal would go on to accompany the Doctor on the ultimate adventure, fighting both Daleks and Cybermen, and falling in love with a certain French aristocrat… CHARLOTTE ELSPETH POLLARD (India Fisher) parted company with the eighth Doctor in 2008, when she walked away into the Singapore night (or at least, that is how the Doctor remembers it.) In reality, she’d been washed up on a lonely island in the year 500,002, from where she sent an SOS out to the TARDIS. But it wasn’t ‘her’ Doctor who answered her call… (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS) Scots piper James Robert McCrimmon (Frazer Hines) met the doctor shortly after the battle of Culloden in 1745, and decided to join him on his travels and fight monsters instead of Redcoats. Fiercely loyal and enormously brave, 'JAMIE' is the perfect companion, although as a simple Highland boy he sometimes finds himself a bit out of his depth in futuristic situations… (© BIG FINISH PRODUCTIONS)
